Moxxie {S'mores}

Good morning! How is everyone doing? :) Today I have fun project that I made to share with you. As I was looking through my Moxxie goodies I came across Happy Camper line. When I saw it I immediately knew I wanted to use it for! To make a fun S'mores Kit!
Isn't it awesome! Happy Camper line had the perfect elements to make this cute little box! I used a sheet of Gone Camping and cut it into 3" strips and went around the middle of the whole box.
I then cut about an 1" strip off of Stick-y sheet. I accordioned it a bit to create some faux ribbon. I inked up the edges of it and all the embellishments and the edges of the box with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink. Love inking up my edges with that ink!
I went through the die cut sheet and found the perfect pieces to use as some tags. I punched a little hole into each one and then threaded through some twine and tied them onto the box. Isn't that owl ADORABLE!? :) Here you can see a little better where I inked up the edges.
Then I made sure to fully stock this box up! It's all ready to go! :)
Who wants to make some S'mores now!? ;)
Thanks for stopping by!

Scrap It Girl {Favorite Thing Friday: Pattern}

Yeah! We are back to Friday! Did everyone make it through the week? Today we are talking about everyone's favorite pattern (or patterns if you have a hard time picking just one ;) ) over at Scrap It Girls Favorite Thing Friday. For me my favorite pattern at the moment are chevrons! I just adore them! I especially love it when they are distressed like these lovelies.
Here's a layout I did using one of those chevron sheets. Aren't those glasses awesome! My youngest and I had a blast trying them on. :)

Here's a few close ups. My favorite part is the glitter mustaches! So much fun. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure to share with us your favorite embellishments over at Scrap It Girl. I love the embellishments the other Design Team members shared! Totally awesome!

Moxxie {Let's Go Outside}

Hello!
Welcome the the Summer time fun Moxxie blog hop!
Today our talented designers are going to show you fun summer projects using many different lines.

Hello! How is everyone doing? Today I've got a fun layout using Moxxie's line Child's Play! I absolutely love this fun line! It just screams summer to me. :) This layout is of my 2nd daughter right after she turned 8 years old. I love these pictures of her cute little smile. :)
On this layout I used to sheets out of the collection and trimmed down the top one so the back one would create a nice border around it. I did a bit of distressing around the edges of the top one. Then I used some frames from the double sided die cut sheet to put around my pictures. I love them! I also used some of the die cut strips and accordioned them and added some staples for a bit of texture and dimension. Here's some more close ups of the layout.

Thanks for stopping by! Good luck and hope you have tons of fun with the blog hop! The prize is AWESOME!!!! Don't miss out! :)

Nuts About Sketches {hello}

Good Monday morning! Did everyone survive the weekend!? I hope so! I have such a cute layout made with an AWESOME sketch from Nuts About Sketches to share with you. I love her sketches they are always so fun and easy to use. The sketch I used was perfect for these pictures of my fun & crazy youngest daughter. She is such a ball of energy and there is never a dull moment with her! lol
Just a little side note here; For the longest time I tried so hard to force her to give me a "nice" smile and to "behave". Finally one day it dawned on me (total A-ha moment for me) I was forcing her to pose for these pictures and be someone she wasn't. Now I just let her do whatever she wants and we have so much fun! Also when I do want a nicer family picture or just want a nicer one of her she is more obliging. ;)

For this layout I really wanted to capture the bright fun colors of the pictures and what better paper to use than Simple Stories Good Day Sunshine. Absolutely gorgeous, summery and playful! LOVE it! I used a sheet of black cardstock as my base to really make the colors "pop". Here's a few close up's of the elements on the page.
This kit had some really fun embellishments you could add on and use!
Isn't this little view finder (I think that's what they are called) cute!?
For the title I used a transparency photo overlay. Who says they HAVE to only go over your pictures!? lol
Love the stitching on this cardstock sticker strip, those hearts are pretty sweet too. :)

Now hopefully I haven't overloaded you with too many pictures! Thanks for stopping by and make sure you go over to Nuts About Sketches to see the sketch I used and the other design teams work. Tons of inspiration there! :)

Scrap It Girl {Favorite Thing Friday: Embellishment(s)}

Happy Friday! Hope everyone has some fun plans for the weekend! It being Friday it's also time for Favorite Thing Friday over at Scrap It Girl! Today we are covering Embellishments! Yeah! I am a huge embellie fan. It was so hard narrowing it down to just one favorite embellishment but I decided to go with the one I've been playing with the most lately. Can you guess what it is? Ok, ok, I'll tell you! My favorite embellishment at the moment are..... SEQUINS! I love the added bling!
I was very hesitant and actually not sure how to use these little lovelies at first. Now I reach for them all the time! I believe they add just that little extra "wow!" that I'm usually looking for. LOVE them! Here's a quick, cute card I put together to show you how cute and easy they are to use!
I used a gel pen to make the little faux stitches around the edges. I then found a cute little cloud in my Stampin' Up! By Air stamp set. It's actually a solid stamp so I used a marker to just color the edges, then fussy cut it and used 3D- Foam dots to pop it up. The sequins I just kind eyeballed it for the rainbow. I love how cute it turned out. Then for the final touch I stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up! Small Sayings stamp set with some Tim Holtz Pumice Stone Ink.

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure to share with us your favorite embellishments over at Scrap It Girl. I love the embellishments the other Design Team members shared! Totally awesome!

Moxxie {Thank You}

Hello! How is everyone doing today? Today I've got a cute little "Thank you" gift I made using Moxxie's Quite Contrary line.
I created an envelope, big enough to hold 3 flower seed packets and then added the cute little tabs to each packet to make it easier to pull out. Thought it would be a cute little Thank you gift for any gardening friends. :) Here's a few close ups of some of the details on the envelope.
I punched out the little lacy strip of paper with a Martha Stewart punch, did some inking around it and added the cute little buttons.
Here is a closer look at the cute tabs. They come on the sticker sheet that comes with the Quite Contrary line! Super cute! I only had the 2 so I traced one more and cut it out for my 3rd packet and added the cute little heart to it. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Scrap It Girl {Favorite Things Friday:Die Shape}

Good morning! Today at Scrap It Girl we are covering favorite dies for Favorite Thing Friday! I don't have very many dies but out of the ones I do have, I think this one is of my favorites, Sizzix Scallop Circles.
Here's a cute little tag I made using the die.
I used some Stampin' Up! stamps for the sentiment and the cupcake and then added some stickles to the cupcake for a bit of bling to it. I then punched holes and tied my twine on one side so I can tie it onto a package later on.

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure to head over to Scrap It Girl and check out the other favorite dies. Who know's you might find some you absolutely need! I know I have! ;)

Nuts About Sketches {The Frosty Chill of a Winter's Day}

How is everyone's summer going? I can't believe we are into July already! It has been HOT! So for this new Nuts About Sketches sketch I dug around and found some fun snow pictures! I'm not a fan of all the coldness during the winter but looking through these pictures sure helped take my mind off the heat for a bit! In these pictures I had taken my girls tubing. They had a blast! We even lost a boot a time two along the way but we had nothing but laughs and giggles the whole time.
For this layout I used Fancy Pants TimberGrove collection. I LOVE this line! I used a sheet of kraft cardstock for the base. I also did some inking around the edges of everything including my photos with some Tim Holtz ink. Here's a few close ups of the layout.

I even ran a few elements through the crimper. They really added some texture to the layout.
Doesn't this layout take your mind off the heat at least for a minute a two? ;) Thanks for stopping by! Make sure you head over to Nuts About Sketches and check out the actual sketch and see the other designers take on it!

Moxxie {4th of July details}

Hello! As promised a few more details and close ups on my 4th of July layout! Oh, wait you don't remember which one, well here let me remind you. ;)
I don't believe I have scrapbooked a 4th of July picture since..... EVER! Sad, I know! I have a ton of catching up considering my oldest is 12 years old! On this layout I used of Moxxie's awesome Child's Play collection. I loved the colors, they were perfect! The base is a 12x12 sheet of SU! Kraft cardstock. I really wanted a background that would allow the colors from the embellishments to "pop". I made a few rosettes and blinged up my page with sequins. I'm really beginning to be a sequin addict lately! lol Here's a few close ups of the sequins & rosettes. Have you tried sequins out yet? If not, they are so choice, and if you have the means, I highly recommend picking some up (did you catch the movie quote here?) ;)

Then for the title I used an assortment of different alphas and the 4 was a piece of chipboard that had a different colored top. I peeled it off and traced and cut out a 4 from a sheet of the Child's Play collection, glued it on and sanded the edges. LOVE how it turned out. :)
Thanks for stopping by! :)
