Moxxie {16 Fall cards with a One Sheet Wonder}

Hello! How is everyone doing? Today I have fun project to share with you using Moxxie's new line
Autumn Glory I just love the deep, rich colors of this line.
I don't know about you guys but I'm always in need of a few "Thank You" cards. The easiest and fastest way to pump a few out is by using a One Sheet Wonder (a.k.a OSW) template. Have you ever heard of these? It's where you take a sheet of designer paper and you cut it up according to the template you have and allows you to create a bunch of different cards in a short period of time. It's a great way for me to use some of my cardstock scraps also. :) I've used this particular template a few times and I've been able to produce 14-16 cards, today I produced 16 cards.
Here's my 16 cards!
I used some Kraft cardstock as my base for all the cards and then found some different "Thank You" & "Thinking of You" sentiments in my stamps. Then found some cardstock scraps that matched along with the colors of my designer paper so that I could embellish and accent a bit more with it. I also used various embellishments such as linen thread, brads & twill tape along with inking along the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Photo Vintage. Here's a close up the cards.

Moxxie {Back to School & Blog Hop}

Good morning! Fall is in the air where I'm from and the kids are back in school. The Muses have some wonderful inspiration for you this month. Here's a little peek at what you'll find along our hop:

Don't those sneak peeks look AWESOME!? You'll want to make sure to stick around till the end because Moxxie has a fun new twist on this blog hop! ENJOY! :)

So for today's blog hop I wanted to share some projects I have made geared for back to school. What better line for such projects than Moxxie's brand new line Brainiac! I LOVE that adorable owl, he's just the cutest! :)

I was inspired by my oldest daughter who is just going into the 7th grade and was looking for things to decorate her locker. It got me thinking I needed a few cute things around our home too. :)
I found an empty can decorated it with BookwormBrainiac Cutouts, White Alphas and wrapped some twine around it.
Then for the dry erase board I used a picture frame, a sheet of Smart-owl-ic and then fussy cut out the owl and books.
Then for the clothes pins I outlined the clothes pins onto the papers (Make the Grade, and the barcode strip from Brainiac Cutouts), cut them out and glued them on. I attached a manet to the back of the clothes pins and added them to my fridge to hold all those amazing papers and drawings that are going to start coming home from school. :)
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Moxxie {Start Your Engines & Totally Rad Cards}

Good morning! Today I want to share with you a couple of fun cards I made using Moxxie's new line Racing. Having 3 daughters I don't usually get to play with or make boy cards. So I decided to try my hand at a couple. The first one is a Birthday card.
I started out with sheet of 8.5"x11" black cardstock and then just folded it in half (it's a big card lol). I fussy cut the car out of the sheet Speed. The words & banner came from Racing Cardstock Sticker. Then did a bit of pen lines around them to add a finished touch. Then the inside of the card I used White Alphas, a strip from Racing Cutouts, a few stickers from Racing Cardstock Stickers. I fussy cut the car from one of the stickers, here's a close up.

Then for the second card, I used the motocross part of Racing. I made a 4.25"x5.5" card from some Kraft cardstock. I sprayed it and dripped some Heidi Swapp Chartreuse Color Shine and inked the edges with some Time Holtz Vintage Photo Distressing Ink. I used the Motocross sheet to back the Motocrosser from the Racing Cutouts. I did a bit of distressing around it. Wrapped some twine and added a few brads to help balance it out.
Then for the inside I used Moxxie's new Brown Alpha's and added a sticker from the Racing Cardstock Stickers.
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Nuts About Sketches {Together, Me & My Sister}

Good morning! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Did you get any crafting done? I put together a fun layout using Nuts About Sketches sketch. I love Shawn's sketches! They are always so much fun and so easy to read. Make sure to swing by her blog and take a look around, she has her past sketches organized by the number of pictures on a sketch. :) Here's this week's sketch...
I rotated the sketch counter clockwise to make it work with the photos I had on hand. Don't be afraid to change things up a bit to make it work for you. :)
These two became great friends from day one! I love how well they usually got along, they are sisters after all! ;) I used Scraptastic Club kit April 2014 Worth Wondering on this layout. I started out with the chevron sheet and inked around the edges using Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Pumice Stone and did ink spots all over
I also did some inking around the wood veneer.
I love the cork butterflies, they are just so cute!
Make sure to head over to Nuts About Sketches for more inspiration on this awesome sketch!

Nuts About Sketches {Cinco de Mayo}

I have some fun and exciting news to share with all of you! I will be continueing on Nuts About Sketches Design Team! Love her sketches! They are super addicting! lol
For this weeks sketch I used some photos from our Cinco de Mayo party we had back in 2013 (we totally missed it this year!). We made little mustache props and pulled out some Mexican hats that we had so we could use as photo props! It seriously was a blast! I loved how everyone played right along and posed for me. My oldest usually doesn't like to play along but she was totally into it this year! :)
 I used a Scraptastic Club Kit- January 2013 Funky Town for this layout. I inked up the the edges of everything with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo most of the embellishments I used on this layout were from that kit. Here's a few close up's....
I love those cute little triangles! My husband said they looked just like tortilla chips. lol Rather fitting, right!? ;)
The mustache flair is one of my favorites along with the glitter 'stache! Needless, to say I had fun putting this layout together! :)

Make sure to head over to Nuts About Sketches and see what the sketch looked like! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Scrap It Girl {Capture Life's Moments}

Happy Labor Day! Do you have some fun plans for today!? Well, if your fun plans include staying home to get your Craft on! I've got a fun challenge for you! Scrap It Girl's monthly challenge is up and running! The challenge for this month is Stencils or Masks. On my layout I used a cute little butterfly stencil I had from Paper Bakery Kits.
I stenciled the butterflies directly onto my picture and the corner piece of blue paper using  Shimmerz Paints Texturz- Tidy Widy. I love the texture and bit of sparkle it has.
Then to really draw attention to the beautiful butterfly in my picture I used a square punch and punched it out and created a frame to go around it and used 3D-Dots to really make it stand out.
I inked around the edges of my page with Tim Holtz Distress Ink- Pumice Stone and for the embellies I looked through a small box of buttons that I acquired from my husbands grandmother when she passed away. I love them! I also tied down a Tim Holtz word band with some linen thread.
My scrapbook layouts are usually of my daughters and our family but once in a great while it's fun to do a layout about what's around you. Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure to head over to Scrap It Girl's blog for the full details on the challenge and to see if YOU were the winner of last months challenge! :)
