Moxxie {A Halloween Treat}

Good morning! Has the Halloween bug bit you yet? I LOVE Halloween! So much fun stuff! The best part is finding excellent paper collections to play with and Moxxie has an AMAZING one....
Isn't it AWESOME!? I've had so much fun using it on my layouts but I wanted to do something different  this go around. I found a fun pattern in the Silhouette store called a Tootsie Treat Box and created some using Moxxi'es Zombie Attack!
They turned out AWESSOME! I love how fast and easy they were to put together and the best part was being able to make them different sizes. I just wrapped some bakers twine to the ends to hold them closed and made a little 3x3 card to with them.
I did a bit of fussy cutting with the hands and the blood dripping off the top.
Fun, easy and quick, 3-things I love when making a project! :)
Do you have some fun projects going for Halloween?
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Scrap It Girl {Favorite Thing Friday: Mini Albums}

Today is Friday! Everyone have big plans for the weekend? It's also time for Favorite Thing Friday with Scrap It Girl! Today we are sharing our favorite mini album. Mine, is one I did a few years back for my dear father in law.
This mini album is one from Stampin' Up! (don't even know if they still carry it) I loved how it has a little sleeve to go into. Here's a few close ups of some of the pages.

Make sure to head over to Scrap It Girl and see what the design team members have done. While you're there, share with us your favorite mini album you've done. Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Nuts About Sketches {Snow Play}

Good morning! How was everyone's weekend? Mine was pretty good, I was able to get caught up on a few crafty projects.I even got a chance to play with Nuts About Sketches new sketch.
It was definitely a fun 2 page layout! I love how she adds such fun elements to her sketches, they always challenge me to try something new. :) Here's my take on the sketch.
I've been looking for the perfect sketch to use all these pictures on. My problem was being able to find a sketch that I could use all 7 pictures on. I used Fancy Pants Timbergrove line. I did quite a bit of inking around edges using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress ink along with just distressing the edges. Here's a few close up's of some of the embellishments.
On this one I did some dry embossing using a Cuttlebug embossing folder Snowflakes just right along the edge of the vellum and then inked up the embossed image to make it stand out a bit more.
Make sure you head over to Nuts About Sketches and see some different takes on the same sketch.
Thanks so much for stopping by. :)

Welcome to the Moxxie Halloween Hop & Challenge!
We have a fantastic line-up this month!! You won't want to miss a single project.
And of course we have an awesome prize up for grabs!
Your choice of Zombie Attack! or Autumn Glory!
Aren't they gorgeous? Details on how to win one of these beauties are below. But first let me share with you my layout I made for this blog hop!
I used Moxxie's awesome new line Zombie Attack & combined it with Moxxie's line All Hallow's Eve. I love how well these two lines mix together! I even made the cute little broom down in the bottom right hand corner our of some scraps, linen thread & a toothpick! I just cut a scrap of my background paper into small thin strips then I bundled them together and tied them off with some linen thread. I used a toothpick for the handle, I broke off one of the pointy ends and sanded it down to so it was round and then stuck the other pointy end into my little bundle of paper strips. Here's a close up...
I fussy cut around the tree and the little spider web, then hung and placed some fun glittery spiders on them. I also did some ink splatters using Heidi Swapp Black Velvet Color Shine and some Xmas Red Stickles.

Now onto how to WIN! All you have to do is comment on the Moxxie blog.

Nuts About Sketches {Too Cute to Spook}

I absolutely LOVE the month of October! Fall is gorgeous where I live, with all the leaves changing and cooler temperatures. An added bonus to this time of year is all the yummy pumpkin flavored goodies that come out! Mmm.... Then it only gets better with Halloween! I have so much with my girls, I love dressing them up! As I was going through some old pictures I found some back from Halloween of 2005!
They were perfect for Nuts About Sketches new double layout sketch.
I used some fun little embellies and splattered some Heidi Swapp Black Velvet Color Shine through out my layout along with inking the edges with Tim Holtz Pumice Stone Distress Ink.
Here's some close up's of the layout.

Make sure to swing by Nuts About Sketches to see all the other Design team members takes on this awesome sketch! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Scrap It Girl {Happy Birthday Card}

Happy October 1st! I LOVE this month! First of the month means it's time for Scrap It Girl's new challenge. This month we are using embossing folders! I've made a fun birthday card to share with you.
I used Cuttlebug's Spots & Dots embossing folder and only embossed the top 3/4 of the card then wrapped some ribbon along the bottom of the embossed area. I then did heat embossing on the cute presents and the words. It was a quick and simple card, but love how cute it turned out! Now make sure to head over to Scrap It Girls blog for some awesome inspiration from the design team and to get your entries in! There is an awesome prize package for the winner! You can enter up to 3 projects!
Thanks for stopping by! :)
