Scrap With Us {Merry Christmas Layout & Challenge}

Good morning! It's been sooooo cold around here! Perfect weather for scrapbooking and staying in with some hot chocolate and lots of fun scrapbooking supplies. So to give you a little extra incentive to get scrapbooking I have a fun challenge (actually a total of 4 challenges!) for you over at Scrap With Us along with an awesome prize! Read more about it on the blog- HERE.

The cold weather here was my inspiration for this challenge. We had some beautiful snow for Thanksgiving and it was followed by a nasty cold snap. The only good thing about this cold snap is the gorgeous frost on the trees. So much sparkle! :) So my challenge to you is to create a layout with some SPARKLE to it! You can use Stickles, sequins, glitter, glittery washi tape, etc. Anything that will add a little sparkle. :)

I used Moxxie's new line, Season's Greetings. I just LOVE the colors and those adorable deer along the bottom. For my sparkles I used Stickles and sequins.
Here's a little close up of some of the sparkle. :)

Now go check out all the fun challenges at Scrap With Us
Thanks for stopping by! :)

If the Slipper Fits Layout

Good morning! How many of you do Project Life (PL)? I love to use the cards on a traditional scrapbook layout but I have yet to try actual pocket scrapbooking. Today Sketches in Thyme Project Style Life has a fun new sketch to share with you to create your very own PL card. Here is my take the sketch.
I rounded the corners on 3x4 card. I added some silver glitter washi tape along the top. Also using the same glitter tape to cover a chipboard heart. I popped the heart up with some pop-up glue dots.
This sweet little girl loved those dress up shoes. Even though she couldn't walk she had to have them on her feet. Here's a close up of some of the details.

Make sure to stop by Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style to see the sketch and play along with us! We would love to see your take on it!
Thanks for stopping by. :)

Home Grown Layout

Good morning! We have had some rainy days and had our first little bit of snow this last weekend! I'm not sure I'm ready for it, I still want to enjoy more of the beautiful fall weather where the leaves are gorgeous colors and the temperature outside is just perfect.
How about you, are you ready for the snow?

Today I have fun 2 page layout to share with you from back in 2011 when we had a garden. The hubby built 3 little boxes so each of the girls could plant their own little garden in them. They did such  a good job of taking care weeding and watering them. So when my sister and brother in law came up for a visit they just had to show off their hard work and share some of the yummy goodies they had grown.

It was a fun layout to work on with all the embellishments. I did some faux stitching, used a punch and even got in some washi tape. :) Here's a few close up's of all those fun details.

Fall Card with a Challenge

Hello! I have some fun news to share with you today.
I've joined Scrap With Us Design Team!
I'm so excited to share with you my first challenge with them.

Since I have such a washi tape addiction I thought it would be fun to do something with it. The challenge is to pull out your washi tape stash and create a card or a layout and use it as main part of the design. Get creative! Use as many as you want! Here is my card.

I used some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine on some Confetti White cardstock. Next I layered some washi tape. For my embellishments I fussy cut that adorable fox I stamped, cut out a few leaves and added a cute little square button with some twine.

We would LOVE to have you come join us in the fun and take some time to look around and join us in the other challenges we have going on!
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Picking Pumpkins Layout

I love fall! I love everything about it, especially pumpkins! Moxxie's new line Fall Harvest, does NOT disappoint, it's just adorable! I have the perfect picture of my girls from last year at a pumpkin patch, picking out pumpkins. We had so much fun!
I love the paper and stickers in this line. The colors are just gorgeous. Moxxie even has a beautiful Alpha sticker set that matches it perfectly. I used them here for the title. Behind the title I did some layering with other papers from the line. Also added some faux stitching with a white pen.
I also spritzed some gold ink on the background and used a punch for the frilly little scalloped border on the strip of paper behind my picture.
I really love to play around with my journaling and one of my favorite things to do is to pop up my pictures with some foam dots so I can slide in a tag behind it with my journaling on it.

Autumn Layout

Good morning! How is your day going? I have a fun fall layout to share with you using Doodlebug's Fall Friends line. Such an adorable line! But it was great for this picture of my 2nd daughter at the pumpkin patch last year.
I love layering! I added a few layers behind my picture. Next, I added a few elements to the corner of my picture. I love adding elements directly to my pictures.
I also love to pop up elements on my layouts. Love the added texture.
Isn't this little mouse absolutely adorable!?

Enjoy Every Single Moment Layout

Good morning! I can't tell you how much I love fall! Almost as much as summer. ;) It has definitely been fall weather around here. Which has me reaching for fall type papers and I had a great picture of my youngest that just fit together so well. :)
I used Fancy Pants True Friend line, it was such a fun line to work with! Loved all the patterns on the paper that I just decided to run with it. I began fussy cutting and punching edges. I added some distressing to some. Then the fun really started! I just began to layer.

I created some banners and tied them together with some linen thread.
See that owl? Just the cutest, right!? :)
Then for my title I used a "brag cards" fussy cut out the flower, popped it up with some foam dots. I also added a little bit of sparkle by outlining the circle center of the flower with some Black Diamond Stickles.
I love how well it all came together! I especially love all the layers and added texture.
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Dia de los Muertos Layout

Hello again! How is everyone doing? Have you SEEN Moxxie's new line Day of the Dead? You haven't!? Uh.... what are you waiting for go! I'll even wait for you to go check it out, here's a link to get you there faster- Click HERE. I'll wait for you, just hurry!......................
Now, let me ask you again, have you SEEN Moxxie's new line!? It's gorgeous, right! The minute I saw this line I knew I had the PERFECT picture of my sister for a fun layout!
Are you ready to see it?
What do you think!? Cool, huh! I started out with a base that I cut down by 1/4" on top and on the side, then adhered it to some black cardstock. Next, I sprayed and sprinkled some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine all over it and then let it dry. Then the fun of layering all those gorgeous papers came next. I did a bit of punching and some distressing on them. I also added a doily and some flowers.
For the title I used some of Moxxie's Alpha's. You can really see the ink splatters up close here. LOVE the glittery shine to them.
As for this gorgeous sugar skull I did a bit of fussy cutting, propped it up with some 3D foam dots for dimension and lined it with a few Imaginisce jewels.
Love to hear what you think of the new line, let me know in the comments!

Here's a close up. I did some layering, punching and distressing on it. Added some Imginisce jewels and added dimension by popping up the sugar skull with 3D foam dots.

Halloween Decorations

I have another fun Halloween decoration to share with you today. This one is so fun and easy to do with your little ones too! Start out by picking some Halloween (this would work for any holiday) washi tape. I had some really fun ones.
Next I removed the light switch covers off the wall. One of my daughters was so excited she got right to it! She started covering the cover with washi tape.
Here she is just about done with the last one.
Look how pretty they look! Quick and fun project that adds just little extra fun to your walls.
Now to get them all put back on the wall.
Is that something you think you would do? Let me know in the comments, I would love to know.

Halloween Wreath

Good morning! With Halloween around the corner I figured I needed a cute wreath to go on my door. Nothing says Halloween to me like orange and black and when I found some chevron burlap I knew I had to incorporate it somehow. Here's what I came up with.
Adorable! Right!? I found the letters at Michael's, I painted them black and then added a bit of glue to adhere some glitter. A little bit of sparkle adds a bit of dazzle. ;) I hot glued the letters together and then tied them onto the wreath with some twine.
Have you got all your Halloween decorations up yet? How soon and up to how late in the month do you continue to decorate?
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Celebracion Card

Good morning! I have a gorgeous card to share with you today. I used Moxxie's new line Day of the Dead. If you haven't seen it, you really should go check it out. I love how rich and vibrant the colors are and the art amazing. I love the sugar skulls!
For my base I used a sheet of black cardstock, making my card a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I then layered on those gorgeous yummy papers. My favorite part about these papers is how they look so much like strips of washi tape! I distressed around the edges and used my favorite Martha Stewart border punch. I fussy cut the little doily looking oval out of the cut out sheet and added dimension by "popping" it up with 3D foam dots.
This was a very quick and easy card to put together.
What is your favorite part of the card? Let me know in the comments!

XC (Cross Country) layout

I'd like to share another layout I created using pictures from the gal I mentioned in my Monday post HERE. I used Moxxie's Cross Country line again.
I had fun layering different pieces of designer paper from this line behind my picture. But before I did I did some distressing around the edges of each one. Here's some close up's of the embellishments.

Are you runner? Have a runner in your life? This is an awesome line to scrapbook those pictures!

Running Journal

Good morning! Are you a runner? If so I have a cute little way to track your miles, notes, paths, anything your heart desires. ;) Moxxie's new line Cross Country line was great for such a project.
I started out with a small composition notebook which I covered using a sheet from Cross Country line. Then used Moxxie's coordinating sticker sheet and Alpha's to decorate the front. For a finishing touch a I wrapped some twine around the spine. Here's some close up's.

Cross Country No Excuses Layout

Good morning! Today I have layout to share with you, using Moxxie's new Cross Country line. I used a pictures of a friends daughter who runs cross country. I've known this beautiful girl since she was 2 years old. I had so much creating the layout of her.
I love to cut my designer paper down by a 1/4" on a side and along the top so I can matte it onto some cardstock. I just love the finished look and extra stability it provides. I distressed along all the edges just using the edge of my scissors. Matted the pictures and had so much fun with stickers that coordinate with this line. Here's a few close up's.
For the title I cut apart one of the cutout's, distressed it and popped it up with some foam dots and folded over a corner.
I fussy cut the runner from one of the sheets in this line.
Love the word stickers! They are so fun and easy to use, I just did some distressing around the edges before adhering them to the page.

If you have a runner in the family this is definitely a must have line. What do you think about it?
Let me know in the comments! I would love to hear from you.
Thanks for stopping by! :)
