Birthday Celebration

How many of you start out the month with great intentions of participating in all sorts of fun challenges that other bloggers/scrapbookers/crafters put out? I always do! But there are times more often than naught that I just don't get them blogged and submitted in time. This layout is one of those times. :) 

Senedra's 12th birthday last year! It never fails to amaze me how fast time goes by each year! I swear I just brought her home all swaddled in baby blankets from the hospital. Now before me is a beautiful young girl just entering her Tweens. She is my biggest cuddler and sweetheart. 

 I added some faux stitching around my banner to really make it "pop" and stand out against the busy background.

I really like to add some 3D foam squares to embellishments on my layouts to add a little extra dimension. I added some to the cupcake, the title and the balloons.

 I used a Martha Steward Doily punch and then inked up the edges.

Good Things Come in Small Packages

DCWV had a fun sketch challenge this month. I used DCWV The Kidlet Stack. It's an older one but still very cute!

 I did some fussy cutting with the cute little flowers and used a Martha Stewart Doily punch for my strip.

 I also fussy cut this cute little sign for my title and "hung" it on a brad. Then added some faux stitching with a white pen around the border of my page.

For my journaling I just used some of the scraps I had created making my layout.

Beautiful

Hello! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Photo Plays Jullie Nutting Belle Vie Collection! It's just such a soft and elegant line to me. It was perfect for these pictures that I took of my youngest daughter. I just adore the pretty little face. She has incredibly beautiful eyes (actually all 3 of my daughters do!) and just the cutest splattering of freckles across her nose. I love taking close up's of her. 

For this layout I used a sketch from My Creative Sketches. 

I was able to use everything from the collection for this layout with the exception of a little grey cardstock and some inking I did around the edges of things. Here's a few close up's.

Winter Fun

I have a layout to share using a kit from Scrapbook Circle and a sketch from Sketches in Thyme. 

For the edge I tore a strip and then punched the brown cardstock and layered them together.

The title was created using Fancy Pants Light Green Alpha's and Heidi Swapp chipboard stickers. I love that cute little metal snowflake.

Here's some more close up's of some of the other embellishments. I love that adorable cork heart and that beautiful striped button.

Home Grown Layout

Good morning! We have had some rainy days and had our first little bit of snow this last weekend! I'm not sure I'm ready for it, I still want to enjoy more of the beautiful fall weather where the leaves are gorgeous colors and the temperature outside is just perfect. 

How about you, are you ready for the snow?

Today I have fun 2 page layout to share with you from back in 2011 when we had a garden. The hubby built 3 little boxes so each of the girls could plant their own little garden in them. They did such  a good job of taking care weeding and watering them. So when my sister and brother in law came up for a visit they just had to show off their hard work and share some of the yummy goodies they had grown.

It was a fun layout to work on with all the embellishments. I did some faux stitching, used a punch and even got in some washi tape. :) Here's a few close up's of all those fun details.

Enjoy Every Single Moment Layout

Good morning! I can't tell you how much I love fall! Almost as much as summer. ;) It has definitely been fall weather around here. Which has me reaching for fall type papers and I had a great picture of my youngest that just fit together so well. :)

I used Fancy Pants True Friend line, it was such a fun line to work with! Loved all the patterns on the paper that I just decided to run with it. I began fussy cutting and punching edges. I added some distressing to some. Then the fun really started! I just began to layer. 

I created some banners and tied them together with some linen thread. 

See that owl? Just the cutest, right!? :)

Then for my title I used a "brag cards" fussy cut out the flower, popped it up with some foam dots. I also added a little bit of sparkle by outlining the circle center of the flower with some Black Diamond Stickles.

I love how well it all came together! I especially love all the layers and added texture.
