Sketches in Thyme {Bright}

I've used Sketches in Thyme sketch for this layout.

Finding pictures to cut into circles is always a challenge for me! As I go through most of my pictures I find that I take more portrait or close up pictures which makes it hard. But I did find a few of my daughter dancing.

I added a few gold splatters to my background paper to help set off my dark pictures on a dark background.

I loved these flowers!

For my title I use some glitter thickers that I thought might really add and pop a little on the layout.

Sketch N Scrap {friend card}

Sketch N Scrap has a new card sketch up to share with you.

Here is my take on the sketch. I've been going through some of my old kits and trying to use them up. This old Stampin' Up! kit was one of my favorites and I had just a bunch of little bits and pieces that weren't enough for a layout but perfect for a card.

I keep telling myself to try to enjoy it because some day I'll find that there is nothing to do and an empty home with all my girls gone and moved out! But enough of that I have a quick and simple birthday card to share with you. I created this using Sketch N Scrap's card sketch.

Sketches in Thyme {Santa Beard Look Alike}

Good morning! today's sketch from Sketches in Thyme has some fun shapes! My biggest problem with this layout.... was coming up with a title! lol Please tell me I'm not alone! ;)

Our oldest is a bit of stinker at times. ;) We were out doing some Christmas shopping when she found this adorable little Santa that she just HAD to get to give to her dad because the beard on the Santa reminded her of him. lol Kids! ;)
 This sketch was a ton of fun to play with, with all it's different shapes. The diamonds, the circle, the torn edges. Just so much fun! Here's a few close up's. The corrugated paper added some fun texture to this layout.

Click!

Hey! Are you all enjoying your holiday's? I sure hope you are! But how about a little break and I share a fun layout with you!? :) This layout was created using two different challenge's- a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy and a challenge from Paper Issue's Fall crop. Both were so much fun and challenging!
This picture was taken two years ago at my younger sister's wedding. Setting up a makeshift photo booth was the best thing ever! All the my girls and nieces took advantage of it.

Christmas all Wrapped up

I can't believe it's already this time of year again! These pictures are from Christmas last year. Our tree, presents that we open on Christmas eve and our presents from Santa. I love their smiles and our fun little traditions. My layout was created using Sketch-n-Scrap sketch challenge that I turned 90* to the left.

Under Your Spell

Halloween has come and gone but the weather sure was gorgeous! Nothing beats being able to dress up, play in a big pile of leaves with your cousins. I love these girls and all their craziness. For this layout I used Stuck! Sketches sketch challenge which was perfect for my picture! I also participated in Paper Issues weekend crop and did their "Are you afraid of the dark?" challenge. For this challenge you were to use a dark colored background for your project.

I loved using some color shine ink on the dark cardstock it really "pops" in person! Here are a few close up's of some of the embellishments and of the ink splatters. :)
