Moxxie {Home Grown}

Good morning!! I've got a cute layout to share with you today! My layout was done using Moxxie's Quite Contrary line, an absolutely gorgeous line. Once again, my fussy cutting addiction was very happy and well fed with this line! lol! The designs went so well with pictures of my oldest daughter when she was 2 years old. She sure loved to go out and smell the beautiful tulips in the spring. My favorite part was how gently she would try to handle those tulips so not to break them. Such a sweetie.
I fussy cut the watering can from the Quite Contrary Sprinkle a Day paper and cut apart a seed packet from the Seedin' & Weedin' paper. I inked the the little seed packet up a bit with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink and then tucked it behind the gorgeous flowers set around the watering can.
I also cut out some the flowers from the Vine & Dandy paper to add a touch of accent to my picture and my journaling block.

My favorite part was the lattice fence print on the back of the Seedin' & Weedin' paper. I did some fussy cutting along the top to really bring it out and added a bit more of Tim Holtz ink around it. Doesn't it just look perfect!? I love the look of it. :)
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Hello Moxxie fans!
We have a special treat for you today!
It involves tons of inspiration and A PRIZE!!!

As many of you know we started this month with a new design team and we are loving all of their fantastic projects and awesome inspiration. So much in fact, that we thought it would be fun to get to know them just a little bit better with a Blog Hop!
You will see a wide variety of styles and projects and hopefully get to know each of our team members just a little bit better.

This layout that I've created using Moxxie Forever Fall line. It is an absolutely gorgeous line. I love the colors!
My favorite thing to do is a bit of fussy cutting. I think fussy cutting is a good way to showcase elements on the designer paper and then I really like to make things "pop" by adding dimensionals (foam adhesive) to them. Like I did here....
And also along the title that was already on the paper, I just did a bit of fussy cutting so I could tuck in my picture right behind it! One other thing on this close up picture, that little strip that says "Falling Leaves", that is a barcode strip! Isn't that awesome!? Reminds me of a saying my MIL always says to me- "Waste not, want not." It's all so usable and so dang cute! :) I finished off my layout by inking up the edges with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Now don't miss out on all the fun we have going on! Go and make sure to check out all the other Moxxie Muses blogs for some amazing inspiration and an amazing prize! :)

Favorite Things Friday {Electronic Cutting Machine}

Happy weekend!! Today we over at Scrap It Girl and we are doing Favorite Thing Friday! This weeks favorite is- Electronic Cutting Machine. Do you have a favorite!? The only one I've ever had (and really wanted) is the Silhouette Cameo. I love that I don't have to purchase extra cartridges for it and the program is very user friendly. Love it!
One of my favorite things to create with my Silhouette (besides Titles!) are fun side mats like I've done on this layout. This is a layout of my youngest daughter always listening to her iPod. My favorite part was the location of her storing her iPod... in her boot! I love how she loves to sing along too. Her favorite song at the moment is Roar by Katy Perry. Boy does she like to sing along, always "rocking out!" ;)
Here's a close up of the side mat....
I added other colors & textures of paper behind the hearts to add a bit more interest color to the layout. Then used the blue hearts that were cut out for my journaling. I "popped" up the side mat using some 3d-Dots.
I did the title with glitter Thickers, LOVE me some bling on a page! ;) I also also cut out some headphones from the silhouette store. They were rather fitting for this layout! ;)
Did you like my side mat? If so I have a surprise for you! You can download it here for free! Just click on the link, follow it, and download! :)
(It is NOT an SVG file. It is a Silhouette Studio file)

Make sure to head over to Scrap It Girl and see what the design team members like to use and while you're there share with us your favorite pair Electronic Cutting Machine! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend! :)

Got Moxxie {Tumbling}

Hello Moxxie fans! I want to share with you today a layout I did of my oldest daughter using Moxxie's Gymnastics line and Nuts About Sketches sketch found HERE.
This line was perfect for my pictures! I loved it! It was so easy to work with. I started out with one of their fantastic 12x12 sheets that already had the word Gymnastics running along the bottom and went from there. I did do a bit of fussy cutting  around some of the images so I could tuck my pictures in behind them and some more fussy cutting along the swirlies on the top pink paper.
Then layered my pictures on some more paper from the same line. Vellum for my journaling and the stickers provided me with a great title- Tumbling. Besides the vellum the only other thing that wasn't included in this line were the sequins that I added for a little extra "bling" on my page. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Nuts About Sketches {You are My Sunshine}

Good morning! How's everyone doing?  I'm up on the family farm for 2 weeks for some getaway time and fresh air! Super excited to share this fun layout with you using Nuts About Sketches newest sketch! Make sure you head over to see the actual sketch! :)

I LOVE this layout because it is of my three daughters and their four cousins! I love all of these girls soooo much! They really are my sunshines! Since these pictures were taken last year we have since added another cousin to the mix! Another beautiful baby girl (we don't have any boy cousins in this family!)! ;)
For my layout I used Simple Stories Vintage Bliss collection. It's just gorgeous! I did a bit of fussy cutting around the doily and flowers that are printed on that sheet patterned paper so it would really "pop" on the page.
I did my title using some of the alphas in the collection and few thickers. Faux stitching was done with a white Gelly Roll pen. I also did a bit of inking around the outer edges of my layout with some Tim Holtz Pumice Stone ink.
Thanks for stopping by! Now hurry over to Nuts About Sketches! Check out the sketch and all the awesome inspiration offered by the other design members and get scrapping! ;)

Nuts About Sketches {Autonomous Solutions Family Day}

Today I want to share with you another two page layout I did with Nuts About Sketches newest sketch.
I love these pictures! My husbands employer, Autonomous Solutions, has a family day so that all the families can go and see what all the employees have been hard at work on. The best part is that they actually let the kids play around with some of the robots (with supervision of course), they absolutely love it! Here my girls are having a ball running one around with my husband. I used a Scraptastic Kit called Chasing Pavements. On this layout I finally broke out my gelatos! I shaved off some of the white gelato into a small bowel and added a tiny bit of water then mixed it until the gelato had dissolved. Then I dipped my finger in the liquid and let it drip off my finger onto the page and splattered it around the page a bit.
I really loved playing with the gelatos. I cut out the title on my Silhouette and hand cut the banners and strung them with some twine and did a bit of inking around the edges with some Tim Holtz Pumice Stone Distress Ink.

Make sure to stop by Nuts About Sketches to check out the sketch and the rest of design teams take on it! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Scrap It Girl {Thinking of You}

Hey! How are you doing? Getting lots of crafty stuff done? Or totally sunbathing and enjoying this gorgeous weather we've been having? Whatever it is I hope you are enjoying it 110%! ;)

Today is the first day of June! Where did May go!? Since it is the first day of June Scrap It Girl has a new challenge for you this month! This month the theme is Things with Wings. So for this challenge I made a card.
This is a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card by cutting an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock in half and then folding it. I ran the lighter blue pieces of cardstock through my Cuttlebug using  Paper Studio- Tiny Polka embossing folder (seriously my favorite! More about that HERE). I rounded out the edges on the lighter blue and gray strips and lined them up with the edge of my card. Those gorgeous butterflies were cut on my Silhouette. On the white one I used some stickles. Here's a closer look of that one, the picture doesn't do it justice. It is so much prettier in person. It really sparkles. :)
Now for the inside.... this is a pop up card I've done by overlaying some of the butterflies to create a cluster of them. What do you think? Pretty, right! Love how well this turned out.
Here's a close up of the butterflies, I covered the small white one is some stickles.
Now make sure to head over to Scrap It Girl and check out the other designers projects and join in the fun! The prize is AWESOME!!!! You never know if you'll win, if you never give it a try! Thanks for stopping by! :)
