Layout {Splashin' Adventure}

Hello! My layout today is really making me want summer here already! I have family in Las Vegas and we try to get down to visit them a few times a year. Especially in the summer to play in the pool! My #2 daughter is total thrill seeker at times! Here she got her dad to THROW her up in the air, check out her grin!
Here's a closer up look of the pictures (in case you missed that big grin of hers! lol), I love how these pictures turned out and how gorgeous the water looks!

This layout was created using one of My Scraps & More older sketches I found on their Pinterest and pinned HERE. I also used Bella Blvd products for all of this layout, I love their bright fun colors!
I had a bit of fun doing some fussy cutting and layering the clouds and popping them up with some 3d foam dots for added dimension. The alphas that came with Bella Blvd's Sand & Surf line are just so much fun!

Now do I have wishing summer was here too! ;)

Layout {Bath Time}

Hello! The layout I have today coincides with the layout I did a few days ago I created the layouts together so they could go side by side in my album. I used the same designer papers on both layouts to help tie them together and I found an older sketch from PageMaps- HERE, that worked perfectly with my picture.

I had fun stitching these circles. The circles make me think of bubbles in the tub. :) I used We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy Circle Tool with a straight stitch attachment. Love how they turned out. I also added some Heidi Swapp Epherma hearts. I also sponged some Tim Holz Pumice Stone distress ink all around the edges of my bits and pieces of paper I used on this layout.
I also used a Martha Stewart punch to create the fun scalloped borders. I love how cute this punch is, it just adds a nice soft touch.
Then for my title I used Amy Tangerine Thickers- Match and some Fancy Pants Pink large Alphas. I felt like the pink alphas got lost in my pink cardstock so I decided to outline them with a black pen to make them stand out a bit more.

Here's another look at my final layout. :)
 Just love that adorable face of my youngest! If you missed the previous post make sure to check it out HERE, more cute pictures of this adorable girl!

Nuts About Sketches {Silly Faces}

Good morning! Nuts About Sketches new sketch is up and it's a fun one!
This is my youngest daughter playing in the tub when she was about 8 months old. She has always been one to pull the funniest faces! I love them!
I cut down my designer paper by 1/2" on the side and top so it would give me a 1/4" cardstock frame all around. Lately, this has been my go to. Love the look of it. I then did a bit of ripping for the side pieces up on the top right and on the left side. Did you know that if you tear AWAY from you the core of the paper will be visible on the back side but if you tear TOWARDS you the core is visible on the front. Just a little tearing tid bit. ;)

I went around and inked up the the edges with some Tim Holtz Pumice Stone Distress Ink and traced the edges of the SILLY in my title with black pen to make it "pop" a little.

I also did a little of bit of stitching on this layout. Love adding just little bits for texture on my layouts.
Here's a couple more close up of some the fun embellishments.

Make sure to swing over to Nuts About Sketches blog to see the fun sketch and the other design team members take on it, also she's got some news to share!

Moxxie {Valentine's Day Treat}

Today I've got a fun Valentine's Day treat for you! I found these cute little test tubes in the $1 bins at Michael's.
 I didn't know what I was going to do with them but I knew I just had to make something! This is what I came up with!
Adorable! Right!? I found a great tutorial on how to make the holders over at Splitcoast Stampers. Then I used some of Moxxie's Iron Grid and Tiny Dancer lines to make it all pretty.
**I followed the directions on where to score and cut to create the box but did NOT begin to actually glue it all together until I had finished decorating it first!

I cut a strip of designer paper about 1/8" to a 1/4" smaller than back of the box and used my corner round edge punch and did a bit of distressing on it before I adhered it down to my box. Then I cut out a strip to wrap around the middle of the box part and distressed it a bit too. I tied together two small pieces of pink & brown bakers twine and stapled them down to the box. I punched out a cute little heart of Moxxie's Tiny Dancer line and layered on a Mambi sticker- love, using 3d-dots for dimension.
On the test tube measured around the test tube cut a strip of designer paper the length and width I needed. Leaving about 1/2" extra on the length to overlap. Before wrapping it around I found the middle of my strip punched a heart out and taped a small piece pink paper behind so the pink would peek through the punched out heart. Then I traced around it with a bronze Sharpie. Once I adhered the strip around the test tube I used some more pink & brown bakers twine to tie around.
Such a fun little treat for someone special!

Layout {CUTE }

My how time has passed! My oldest, who is grinning so proudly in the top picture at becoming a big sister, will be 13 years old this month!

I created this layout using this sketch from  ACOT (A Cherry on Top) that they had for a sketch challenge.
It was fun sketch to play with. I started my base out with a sheet from Moxxie's Faith line and then pulled out Moxxie's Springtime line to start layering, embellishing and punching. :)

Here for the title I used a wooden veneer and sponged on some white ink. I then adhered it to the little banner I had cut out and done a bit of punching on and added an eyelet and threaded some linen thread through the eyelet and then adhered it to my layout with some 3D-Dots to give it some dimension.
I tucked a cute little paper doily behind the corner of one of my pictures and then added some of Moxxie's cardstock stickers right onto my picture. I love the colors.
I fussy cut a butterfly out of one of Moxxie's Springtime sheets, inked the edges with some white ink and adhered it to a wooden arrow. I punched the sides of my purple piece (as you can see below) with a Martha Stewart punch. I love this punch, it looks so beautiful and delicate to me.
I love how the overall layout turnout. Here's another look at it.

Nuts About Sketches {Made from Scratch!}

Good morning! How was your weekend? I had a great scrappy weekend and have got some fun layouts done. This one I did using this Nuts About Sketches sketch. I chose to only do the left side of the sketch, Yes! You can totally do that! ;)
As I dug through some old pictures I found some that would work perfectly with this sketch. They are pictures of one of my youngest sisters with my youngest daughter baking up a batch of No Bake Cookies. Although, I think there was a whole lot more tasting than actual baking! lol
I used one of Moxxie's lines called Bake Shoppe. Love the cute double sided punch out embellishments and the cardstock stickers that coordinate with this line. I sponged on some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink around the edges of all my paper and on the embellishments.

I created this banner from some of the other papers in this line and strung it with some baker's twine.
Make sure you visit Nut's About Sketches blog and check out some more amazing samples the DT members created using that this same sketch!

Moxxie {Blog hop & Valentine's Box}

I LOVE Valentine's Day! I'm such a romantic. I enjoy decorating and making all sorts of fun Valentine's Day decorations. Today I've got a fun Valentine's Day gift AND a GREAT giveaway stick around until the end for details on the giveaway!
I made my fun gift using three of Moxxie's new lines.
Tiny Dancer
Grid Iron
Springtime

 I made this cute little box and since have decided to make two more. One for each of my girls and surprise them with them on Valentine's Day.
 The cute little box was one I got from Stampin' Up! many years ago. It's such a small and cute little box perfect for small gifts. I used a strip of Springtime paper to wrap around the box and then began layering different pieces.
I made the paper rosettes out of some Tiny Dancer & Springtime paper. Here's a close up of them.
Then I punched  the hearts out of Grid Iron the Football themed paper. I just love the richness of the brown in that line. Next I popped those cute hearts up with some 3D-Dots
 to give them a bit of dimension.
Then I inked up the wooden arrow with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink and covered it in some Crystal Stickles. Then I used some of Moxxie's Alphas for the "XOX". I'm in love with the turquoise/blue ones. Such a gorgeous color. I then wrapped some twine around the box along the top to fill in some "empty space". I love how cute it turned out!
Below are the details for the giveaway along with the hop list! Good luck & have fun!

Moxxie {#One Star Player layout}

She shoots! She scores! And the crowd goes wild for Moxxie's new Basketball line! Whooooo!
I found these adorable pictures of my oldest when she was only a year old. She loved rolling that basketball around in my mother's kitchen. :)
I cut down my basketball sheet by 1/2" on a side and 1/2" on the top and then centered it on a sheet of cardstock. Then added some brads and the cardstock stickers.
 I did some outlining with a black pen around some of the stickers to really make them stand out, like these banners. I also used some of the black alphas for the date.

Nuts About Sketches {Daddy's Girl}

Good morning! Who caught the Superbowl game? We didn't. I had high hopes of getting sooo much crafting done and did not. BUT I did get a layout done with Nuts About Sketches new sketch. I have a picture of my youngest and her daddy when she was a few months old. It's one of my favorites of these two.
Here's a few close up's of it. For the title I used some American Craft Glitter Thickers and some Pink Paislee alphabet stickers. The little wooden doily was one I had from one of my Scraptastic Kits. LOVE it!
Love the look of cute little banners! Banner are one of my favorite embellishments right now, right along with enamel dots. Aren't those cute hearts from Lily Bee Designs adorable!
I love this washi tape with the cute little elephants. Just so cute.
